As a master of the guild of jewelers, you create intricate and majestic ornaments for monarchs and other powerful leaders of the Renaissance world, gaining increasing prestige and wealth in return. However, an ambitious rival has appeared on the horizon! Compete with him, gather gemstones, pearls, and gold, and then create ornaments and precious jewelry from them. Gain the favor of the monarchs, earn prestige, and become the best jeweler!
Game of Splendor: Duel is a new version of the popular economic game, fully tailored to the needs of board game pairs and duos. It includes a modified system for selecting jewel tokens and completely new cards with additional skills and bonuses. Thanks to them, two-player games will be even more challenging and exciting!
How does it work?
On their turn, a player takes tokens from the board or uses existing tokens to buy gem cards, which earn them prestige points and crowns. These, in turn, bring them closer to victory. Gem cards also provide additional skills and bonuses that reduce the cost of subsequent cards. In this way, our purchasing options expand with each turn.
To win, at the end of their turn, the player must fulfill 1 of 3 conditions specified on the victory tile.
Why will you love this game?

- Just like in the classic version of the game Splendor, there is also a race here to see who will first meet the victory condition. This can be achieved in 3 different ways, so we must constantly keep an eye on the second player while maintaining our own balanced growth.
- The special board on which we lay out gem tokens and the related additional rules give this element of the game a strategic character as well. From now on, we can not only take the necessary colors from the opponent but also limit their possibilities in combining them!
- The gem cards in this version have gained special abilities. They not only produce crystals of the corresponding color for us permanently but also provide bonuses such as the ability to play an additional turn, stealing tokens from the opponent, or additional privileges.
- Despite the modifications, the game retains its simple character and is still perfect for starting the adventure with board games.
