The OPTICUM W-20 amplifier is used everywhere the signal from the external antenna (not equipped with an amplifier) reaching the receiver is too weak, which manifests itself with picture freezing or disappearing. The causes of such symptoms are usually: too great a distance between the antenna and transmitter, natural obstacles (hills, trees), tall buildings between the transmitter and the antenna, division of the signal from the antenna to several televisions. The amplifier is intended for use with external directional antennas with a balun ending with an F socket. The amplifier should be screwed directly into the socket of the balun at the antenna and powered with a voltage of 5-12 V from the receiver or power supply.
