M4A3 Sherman
The M4 Sherman is the basic American medium tank of World War II. Produced in 1942-1945, it became the most recognizable American tank. It was developed dynamically during the war. It was equipped with a 75 mm cannon. Ammunition and a flammable engine made the Shermans initially an easy target for heavier German tanks. Only the refinement of the design allowed the roles to be reversed. A total of about 49,000 units of all versions of the Sherman tank were produced.
