Progress versus nature
In Daitoshi, as an influential magnate, you develop your industrial power - you manage a factory, exploit natural resources, expand the city and create epochal inventions. However, the Ykai nature spirits do not leave you alone, and they are easily angered. Your goal is to achieve prestige and wealth through innovation, trade, and co-creation of the monumental Mega-Machine, while maintaining a balance between progress and environmental impact.

Welcome to Daitoshi, a city of progress where new steam-powered inventions are being created faster than ever. Yes, development has its price: the forests are not what they used to be and the river seems to flow slower, but the expansion of the city is absolutely the most important thing, right?!
Your Factory
It consists of 3 buildings where you will build and develop inventions. During a Production turn, you can use steam to activate buildings, and if you have triggered production, you will receive additional bonuses.
Steam
Extract water from the river and coal from the land to power your steam engine. The exploitation of the surrounding areas is also a great source of new employees for the city.
City
It's a modular saucepan that your Magnate moves around. In it, he visits individual districts and sends workers to various Workshops, activating actions that give the city progress.
Expansion
Build new city districts. Not only is it a chance to get new jobs in the Workshops, but it's also a chance to appease the spirits of Yokai with new temples.
Electrification
Every district of the city can be electrified. This new technology upgrades the local Workshops and earns the player prestige points that give bonuses, increase reputation, and fuel the Worm Bus.
Environment
The exploitation of the environment arouses the wrath of Yokai spirits. Give gifts to the Temples of the Environment to advance on the tracks of the River, Forest, Mountains, and Underworld. This will bring victory points at the end of the game.
Mechanics
The theme of industrialization in the era of steam and its ecological consequences is interestingly integrated with the game mechanics, which use worker placement, movement on the saucepan and construction of the engine.
