This dinosaur is about 26 cm tall. About 71 to 65 million years ago, the Therizinosaurus lived during the Upper Cretaceous and was thus one of the last and largest representatives of the hitherto unique group of Therizinosauridae. Only a few fossil bones of this species are known, including huge claws of the hands that led to the naming. Its total length is estimated at 9 meters.
