Shortly after the Mad King was dethroned during Robert's Rebellion, two orphaned Targaryens were forced to flee to Essos. Now Robert is dead, and the lords and ladies of Westeros are fighting for power. It is time for the Targaryens to reclaim what is theirs, using all available methods. And there will be no shortage of those, as under Daenerys' leadership, they will not only have armies but also three powerful dragons.
The world of the Game of Thrones board game will expand to a new continent. On the new section of the map, which connects to the original board, the Free Cities of Essos are depicted. Mother of Dragons expands military actions to include Braavos, Volantis, and Pentos, which is the starting city of the Targaryens.
Mother of Dragons introduces not only the growing Targaryens into the game but also the Arryn house. With the overlay on the map segment depicting the Eyrie and the new character cards, you will be able to deploy the new house in your battles for the Iron Throne and increase the number of players participating in the game to eight.
Note: This is not a standalone game! A base Game of Thrones is required for play.
