The Romans, Barbarians, Egyptians, and Japanese all seek to expand the borders of their empires by acquiring new territories. They build structures to increase their economic power, exploit mines, and develop farms to gather resources, build barracks to train their soldiers. Soon, the new area proves to be too small for all of them and war begins. Settlers: Birth of an Empire is a card game that allows players to take on the roles of leaders of four great civilizations. Over 5 rounds, players will explore new territories, build structures, produce and trade resources, invade enemies, all in order to earn victory points.
