Nokia 6100 mobile phone - description

Simple and sophisticated, compact and extremely user-friendly, the Nokia 6100 phone is packed with modern technology that delivers performance without compromise. Its communication capabilities are compelling, such as support for multimedia messaging services (MMS), GPRS for quick access to mobile Internet services via WAP, Java technology and an electronic wallet for convenient WAP shopping. The large high-resolution display brings color to these applications, and the tri-band function provides connections worldwide.
The Nokia 6100 is the smallest Nokia phone yet. With its large high-resolution color display and ergonomic keyboard, it is very user-friendly. Thanks to the balanced keyboard layout, messages and calendar entries are easy to write and the 4-way navigation key allows quick access to the numerous functions of your mobile phone.
With the Nokia 6100 phone, you can make your messages even more versatile. It supports the multimedia messaging service MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) and therefore offers you completely new ways of expression - more personal, direct and versatile than ever before. This allows you to send and receive text, ringtones, pictures or photos to compatible mobile phones as part of a multimedia message.
The Nokia 6100 phone can be used in GSM 900 and GSM 1800/1900 networks - on all 5 continents. Whether you've just landed in Sydney, New York or Bangkok, your Nokia 6100 phone lets you stay connected with your partners wherever you go.
The Nokia 6100 phone supports GPRS for fast connections via WAP and for mobile email communication. With the "Always Online" setting, you have very fast access to mobile Internet services via GPRS. The Nokia 6100 allows you to send and receive data at up to 43.2 kbps in HSCSD networks when connected to a compatible PC (available via infrared or cable).
Thanks to Java technology, you can adapt your Nokia 6100 phone to your personal ideas and wishes. In addition to ringtones and screensavers, interactive games, programs to organize your professional and private life, road maps and many other interesting applications can be downloaded. If you no longer need one of these applications, you can just as easily remove it.
With the Nokia 6100 phone, you can make mobile purchases via WAP at any time. Thanks to your Nokia phone's electronic wallet - a password-protected file containing credit card or debit card information in virtual form - online transactions for WAP shopping can be processed safely and conveniently.
Your Nokia 6100 is also equipped with a Pop-Port interface - a universal connection for a plethora of digital accessories.
If you need a mobile phone primarily as a business tool, but do not want to do without discreet elegance or excellent workmanship, the mobile phone world is not too big. There is a Sony Ericsson T68i, a Siemens S55, one or the other Samsung or Motorola device. Ironically, Nokia, the mobile phone giant, has not yet managed to clear properly in this class; apart from the success of the now aged Nokia 6210. The recently launched Nokia 7210 and Nokia 6610 are great devices, but with a daring design and integrated radio, they are aimed more at the fun user. So it's time for a third party in the league: The Nokia 6100 is a functional giant in mini format and consistently targets the business clientele.
The new addition weighs only 77 grams, which is a house record. With dimensions of 102 x 44 x 17 millimeters, it comes close to the format of the formerly very popular high-end mobile phone Nokia 8210, but is still a bit thinner. Despite this mini design, the Nokia 6100 fits surprisingly well in the hand. The workmanship looks very high-quality, which is not least due to the successful design, which is neither too shrill nor too boring.
The 27 x 27 mm colour display, which offers a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and 4,096 colours, also makes a great impression at first glance. It is sharp and clear and a bit brighter than the already good mini screens of the sister models. A small annoyance, however, is the once again too small and too deep recessed power button of the device -- an old, apparently not eradicable Nokia quirk. All the more annoying because you can also change the profiles of the mobile phone via this button, which you only catch with your fingernail.
Overall, however, the operation works excellently, not least thanks to the clear and intuitively understandable menu structure, with which Nokia-A
