The innovative slider concept
allows pushing in two directions and thus quickly switching between different operating modes. For example, users can switch from map mode to playing a video by simply sliding them up. While the numeric keypad is released when sliding in one direction, special keys for operating the multimedia functions appear in the opposite direction. The display then changes to landscape format. The new user interface of the Nokia N95 multimedia computer presents itself with attractive 3D graphics, so that functions and services can be easily found and used intuitively.
The integrated GPS function
makes route planning easier than ever. With digital maps for over 100 countries, users can discover the world, get directions or, for example, search for restaurants and hotels. With more than 15 million POIs (Points of Interest), there is a wide range of interesting places available. The offer is rounded off, among other things, by separately available city guides or voice-based route guidance.
With the integrated 5-megapixel camera
with optics from Carl Zeiss, high-quality photos and video clips can be recorded in quality comparable to DVD. Photos and video clips can then be viewed directly on a compatible TV thanks to the Nokia N95's TV output and support for Universal Plug & Play (UPnP) technology.
The Nokia N95 multimedia computer
supports WLAN, EDGE and UMTS networks as well as HSDPA technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and thus offers optimal network coverage and high-speed connections at all times. Thanks to HSDPA, viewing Internet content, reading emails, streaming videos and downloading large files is up to 10 times faster than UMTS technology.
