PZL.23 Karaś
The PZL.23 Karaś was one of the basic bombers of the Polish Air Force during the September Campaign in 1939. It was designed at the Polish Aviation Works (PZL) and entered service in 1936. The plane was a structure that accommodated three people: a pilot, an observer and a gunner. The armament included machine guns and bombs. Although the PZL.23 Karaś was a relatively technologically advanced aircraft at the time of its introduction into service, it quickly became obsolete in the face of rapidly developing aviation.
The legend of the Polish sky from 1939 has been accurately reproduced from COBI construction blocks. The detailed model was designed in 1:32 scale, which matches the rest of the aircraft in the Historical Collection. For the purposes of this set, a completely new brick was created in the shape of a characteristic cockpit cover, which can accommodate as many as three pilot figures. The aircraft has historical markings printed on it, which are also found on the underside of the wings. The entire bottom is made of a new light blue color of the blocks. In addition to the PZL.23 machine guns, Karaś is equipped with a set of clip-on bombs. The figures of aviators in characteristic leather suits have prints on the back! The set also includes a very attractive brick with a printed map showing the situation of Polish in the first days of 1939. An impressive model of the Polish bomber can be placed on movable wheels or a block display stand with transparent elements. The whole set is complemented by a plate with a printed aviation checkerboard and the name of the model. This wonderful historical set commemorates not only Polish aviators, but is also a testimony to the military technology of the time.
