FIAT 126 P FORTY-YEAR-OLD- Red
The cult TV series of the People's Republic of Poland "The Forty-Year-Old" depicts the fate of the Warsaw family of engineer Stefan Karwowski. The car he was driving - Fiat 126p - was called "Karwowski" in honor of its owner. This is how red toddlers produced in the 70s are called, with numerous details found in cars from those years, e.g. lemon rims, chrome bumpers, etc. Karwowski's vehicle had registration numbers 56-48-WL.
The series was produced by Polish Television in the years 1974-1977. The first 7-episode series was so popular that it was successfully continued and a full-length film "I am a butterfly, or the romance of a 40-year-old" was also made. Karwowski's fate perfectly fit into the reality of the 1970s and the propaganda of success, and he exposed themes related to the midlife crisis: an affair on the side, attempts to quit smoking, an obsession with losing his hair, an attempt to take care of his physical condition, pride in his life and professional achievements, the desire for self-fulfillment through social activity, etc.
