HOW TO OPERATE THE KEROSENE LAMP?
REFUELING

Open the tank cap and fill the lantern tank with kerosene. Pour fuel into the bulges on the tank. Before the first operation, the wick must be soaked in fuel. Therefore, once the lantern is filled, let it sit for about 20 minutes before lighting it.

LIGHT THE LANTERN

Lift the glass cylinder of the lantern by pressing down on the bracket on the left side and hooking it into the corresponding cutout. Light the wick, which should protrude from the burner by about 1-2 mm, with a lighter or a match. As soon as the wick is lit, slowly lower the lampshade with the help of the bracket.

WICK ADJUSTMENT

You can adjust the flame size by turning the burner knob. The flame should not flicker or smoke. A flame with a diameter of 1.5 to 2 cm is recommended. The smoke and rapid burning of the wick may suggest that it is pulled too high or not soaked in fuel. Hiding the wick extinguishes the flame. Check if it has actually gone out by turning it up again. Note: Do not hide the wick too deep, as it may fall out of the burner.

CLEANING THE SHADE

To clean the lampshade, pull the chimney upwards. To do this, place your fingers on the carrying handle and pull the lifting eye upwards with your thumb. The diffuser can now be tilted in the wire holder and removed from the holder.

WICK REPLACEMENT

With the shade ajar, turn the burner handle clockwise and remove the entire piece. Remove the old wick and pull the new wick through the hole using the rotating handle on the burner. Keep in mind that even a new wick takes about 20 minutes to absorb fuel. Only then light the lantern.
